Our first office opened in Tokyo in 2013 and represents a huge opportunity. Not only is Tokyo one of the largest metropolitan areas in the world with over 35 million people, it is also the world's largest metropolitan economy. Tokyo has large financial centres as well as a vibrant technology and pharmaceutical market which offer ample opportunities for building a successful career in the recruitment market.
To support our consultants, we have a dedicated marketing team that focuses on research and market analysis and produces insights catered to the vertical markets our consultants specialise in. This team enables our consultants to communicate the latest market trends and research findings to their respective candidates and clients ahead of competitors. We often engage with our clients through closed-door events and networking sessions that help to foster a sense of community within the specialist markets. We actively participate and sponsor industry seminars and events.
Our partnership includes Slush and Tech In Asia within the Technology start-up scene and ICPM as well as DIA within Healthcare. This enables us to have much deeper conversations with our customers and helps us to gain a deeper understanding of the industries that we operate within. We also partner with industry associations and give back to the community by conducting sessions about the job market and job searching such as our partnership with Le Wagon, the world’s most successful Coding Bootcamp. We conduct job search seminars to their students on a quarterly basis, and provide interview features that promote our partnership.
